Hi there,
Unfortunately, in order to bring you the best shopping experience possible, even I, your beloved Minty, have a legal team. Before I let the lawyers loose, I want to tell you in simple terms how I protect you and your data.
Let’s get personal info out of the way first. I will never, ever sell or share your personal information. I’m talking about names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc. That’s just not cool and it goes against my easy-going sloth nature.
The data I collect while you shop helps me do a better job at finding the best offers for YOU. I don’t want you wasting time sorting through offers for products that don’t interest you. And I certainly don’t want to send you offers through email or SMS that you don’t want.
You can go to SafeOpt® anytime you want to request your data or ask that it be deleted. Even though it's not the law everywhere, I do it anyway. You also have control over your opt-in preferences. Don’t particularly care for a certain store or type of product? Want less fresh offers in your inbox? Opt-out or opt-in anytime. No big deal.
Questions? Email [email protected]. Now let’s get to the lawyer’s part….

1. Personal Information We Collect and How. We collect personal information in two ways: 1) through our business practices described below, including when provided to us by individuals, and 2) automatically, through our technologies.
We collect the following personal information of our customers’ business contacts to serve our customers: name, email address, street address, and telephone numbers.
We collect individuals’ email addresses provided to us through the Website, and as part of our business through widgets, cookies and other technologies on our customers’ and partners’ websites. If you contact us through our Partner form on Minty.com, we collect your name, email address, and company name. Our customers may ask a question through the contact form on Minty.com; providing your email address is required for us to respond, and we may eventually need to speak to you by phone.
To the extent we combine personal information with other information which in the aggregate would be identifying to an individual, we will treat the information as personal information under this Privacy Policy.
We and our third party service providers also automatically collect technical personal information from users of the Services, including:
Information about the device(s) you use to access the Services, including MAC address, IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, device type, and device identifiers;
Information about your visits to the Website, including the full URL clickstream to, through and from pages on the Website (including date and time);
Information we need and use to facilitate your use of the Website (including to provide access to third party websites and services), such as URL requests, destination IP addresses, email addresses, or device configuration details;
Pages you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.
The technologies used for automatic data collection include “cookies” (small data files, including cookies, pixel tags, and/or other local storage provided by your browser or associated applications) on your computer, browser, mobile phone, or other devices. We may use both session cookies, which expire and no longer have any effect when you log out of your account or close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain on your device until you erase them or they expire. We encode our cookies so that we or our third party service providers can interpret the information stored in them. You are free to decline cookies if permitted by your computer, browser, mobile phone, or other devices, although doing so may interfere with your use of some Services.
We may obtain personal information from third parties as well. Our customers may provide us with the email addresses of their customers or prospective customers. We may obtain personal information from advertising networks, data analytics providers, social networks, and consumer data resellers.
If someone chooses to use our referral service to tell a friend about our Website or one of our customer’s products or services, we will ask for the friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Website. Minty stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.
2. How We Use Personal Information. We may use any personal information we collect for any one or more of the business or commercial purposes below:
We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our Website in addition to other endorsements. With the testimonial giver’s consent, we may post their testimonial along with their name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us as shown below.
3. How We Share Personal Information. We may share personal information with third parties as follows:
Service Providers. We engage with select service providers who provide services to support our operations such as analytics; web hosting; app development; advertising and marketing vendors, and other service providers. Such service providers will be limited to using your Personal Information to provide their services to Minty, or as otherwise permitted by law.
Other Parties. As further described in the “HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION” above, we may share your information when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to prevent fraud, damage to person or property, protect and secure our business, assets, user accounts or enforce legal rights or comply with subpoena, court order, legal process or obligations. We may share personal information back with you at your request, and with third parties to whom you direct or consent.
Successor Entities. We reserve the right to sell, disclose or transfer your personal information to a successor entity in the event of a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets or other corporate changes respecting Minty.
The Website may offer publicly accessible blogs or community forums. Users should be aware that any personal information provided in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request the removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us at [email protected]. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
4. Do-Not-Track Requests; Third-Party Tracking.
Unless your browser settings are configured to make your online activities and publicly available information about your online activities invisible to usage analytics tools, we do not presently have the capability to omit you from usage analytics to the extent your browser sends us a “do not track” message. However, third parties, other than our vendors assisting with making the Website available do not have authorization from us to track your uses of the Website or track what other activities you may have engaged in before or after using the Website (for example, using a different website). That said, we cannot control third-party tracking and there may be some third-party tracking that occurs without our knowledge or consent.
We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third-party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this website and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. You may opt-out here:
Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA)’s self-regulatory opt-out page (http://optout.aboutads.info/) and mobile application-based "AppChoices" download page (https://youradchoices.com/appchoices) and Network Advertising Initiative (NAI)’s self-regulatory opt-out page (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/).
Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. You will continue to receive generic ads.
5. Your Choices.
You have certain choices to control the collection and use of information about you by us. By opting out of Website or mobile device tracking through your browser or device settings, you can limit the information that is collected and/or how it is used. If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, contact us as indicated below in this Privacy Policy. You may opt-out of marketing emails from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email, but please note that will not affect our ability to email you about our business relationship or Services you have requested.
6. Third-Party Services. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services provided by Minty, not to any third-party services.
The Services may contain links to the websites of our business partners, advertisers, social media sites, and other third parties. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these third parties have their own privacy policies, and that Minty does not accept any responsibility or liability for such third party privacy policies or practices. Please check the individual policies before you submit any information to or through any linked third party website.
Some of our pages utilize framing techniques to serve content to/from our partners while preserving the look and feel of our Website. Please be aware that you are providing your personal information to these third parties and not to us in such instances. Our Website may include social media features, such as the Facebook® button and widgets or interactive mini-programs that run on our website. These features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Website with third party content. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.
7. Security. Minty maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the user's personal information and other information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use. For example, we and/or our service providers use commercially reasonable security measures such as encryption, firewalls, and Secure Socket Layer software (SSL) or hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) to protect Personal Information.
Although we take reasonable steps designed to protect your personal information, please be advised that no security system or means of transmitting data over the Internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure (including without limitation with respect to computer viruses, malicious software and hacker attacks). We cannot and do not guarantee or warrant the security of your personal information or any information you disclose or transmit to us. We are not responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access, and we are not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to any such incidents to the fullest extent permitted by law. Where required under law, we will notify you of any such loss, misuse or alteration of personal information that may affect you so that you can take the appropriate actions.
For your own privacy protection, we urge you to keep all passwords confidential. We also recommend that you do not include sensitive information such as passwords, social security numbers or payment information, in any emails that you send to us. If you become aware of any breach of the terms of this Privacy Policy or of the security of the Services, please notify us by email at [email protected].
8. Data Retention. We will retain personal information for as long as an individual user’s account with us is active or as needed to provide the Services or fulfill our business and commercial purposes. We will retain and use personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After expiry of the applicable retention periods, your personal information will be deleted. If there is any data that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further use of such data.

We do not knowingly or intentionally gather personal information about children who are under the age of 16. If a child has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us to have the information deleted from our records. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 16 in the applicable jurisdiction, please contact us [email protected]. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected the personal information of a child under 16, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible and cease the use of that information in accordance with applicable law.
10. International Transfers. We have centralized some of our data processing activities in accordance with applicable laws, and as a result, we may, directly or indirectly through our organization and affiliates, and through third-party entities around the world, process, store, and transfer the information you provide, including your personal information, as described in this Privacy Policy. Specifically, the information and Personal Information that we collect may be transferred to, and stored at, a location outside of your jurisdiction. The jurisdiction where your personal information will be processed may or may not have laws that seek to preserve the privacy of personal information. Your personal information may also be processed by staff operating outside of your jurisdiction who work for us or for one of the organizations outlined in this Privacy Policy in connection with the activities outlined in this Privacy Policy. By submitting your personal information using the Sites, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We have put in place commercially reasonable technical and organizational procedures to safeguard the information and personal information we collect on the Sites.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time and may apply changes to previously collected information, as permitted by applicable law.
